PTV Sports is a 24-hour Pakistani sports channel. PTV Sports is Owned by Pakistan Television Corporation.PTV sports channel was launched on the directive of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on 17 December 2012. The PTV Sports test transmission began emanating from AsiaSat 3S at an orbit of 105.5ºE on 30 December 2011. According to Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Pakistan's minister of information and broadcasting, the process of digitisation should be complete by December 2012. It belongs to the Pakistan Television Corporation. An agreement worth USD 45 million signed between PTV and Zee TV was aimed at only promoting and broadcasting sports events on the state-run channel
